Connection Beyond Sight and Sound is a partnership between the Maryland State Department of Education and the University of Maryland, College Park. This project supports children in their home, school, and community by providing consultation, training and special programs, technical assistance to children, their families, and care providers.

Please join us in congratulating our Technical Assistance Specialist, Sandra Newcomb, on the successful defense of her dissertation on March 9, 2009! The title of Dr. Newcomb's dissertation is “The Reliability of the CVI Range - A Functional Vision Assessment for Children with Cortical Visual Impairment.”
