Lending Library

The Connections Project has maintained a family/ professional library since 1988, updating and expanding the holdings to include seminal materials and current research. The materials offer theory, pedagogy and practice in a variety of topical areas including deaf-blindness, deafness/hard-of-hearing, blindness/ visual impairment, communication development, inclusive education, severe and/or multiple disabilities, early intervention, collaboration, parenting of special needs children, orientation and mobility, medical conditions and treatments, and motor impairments. A variety of formats are available including textbooks, videotapes, conference proceedings, guidebooks and manuals, children's literature, and monographs. Materials have been available for dissemination primarily at conferences, workshops and other training activities sponsored by Connections as well as through individual TA to families and service providers. The holdings list is currently being transferred to an electronic database and will be available on the website as well as in hard copy for distribution.
