Consultation and Technical Assistance

Connections offers consultation on a variety of topics from appropriate intervention procedures to designing environments for students who are deafblind. Our consultation and assistance model is guided by the following philosophies:
Being deaf-blind poses unique challenges for parents and professionals.
An individual who is deaf-blind often has additional disabilities which require specialized assistance.
Project staff assistance is consistent with the inclusion of the student in school and community
Technical assistance outcomes are consistent with laws that affect children with disabilities and their families
Technical assistance directly relates to the student’s IEP or IFSP
Technical assistance is long term and is based on a plan for follow up services
Technical assistance lends itself to the ability of generalizing resources and training to the education of other students with disabilities

If you are interested in technical assistance for your student or child, click here or contact our office by telephone at (301) 405- 7915.
